Calgary, AB – Omar Charanek scored a hat-trick to guide the Gorillaz to a 5-1 throttling over the Tropics at Bowness Sportsplex on Tuesday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Gorillaz was Maurice Souraya and Rochdi Sarout chipping in with a goal each. Ayman Saghir and Mohamed Hage each added two assists. Goaltender Baraa Elkadri picked up the win for the Gorillaz holding the Tropics to a single goal.

Scoring the single strike for the Tropics was and Nick Facey, his first of the season. Goaltender Philip van der Poel surrendered five goals in the loss for the Tropics.

With the win, the Gorillaz improve to 9-2-0-0 while the Tropics fall to 4-4-2-1.
