Prince buries two, Steamy Weenies HC outperform Moose Knuckles HC
Calgary, AB – Asher Prince scored two goals to help secure the Steamy Weenies HC a victory in a 6-4 victory over the Moose Knuckles HC at East Calgary Twin Arenas (Blue) on Monday.
Adding markers for the Steamy Weenies HC was Matthew Dimitrijevic and Jim Murphy, Kyle Zurcher and Travis Chaffer each contributing with single markers. Justin Hall added two assists. Goaltender Thomas Whiteway picked up the victory for the Steamy Weenies HC giving up four goals.
Providing the offence for the Moose Knuckles HC was Jon Meyers with two goals and Dustin Jans and Chris Herschell with a goal each. Josh Frizzell and Wayne Parkinson each added two assists. Goaltender Dylan Brill surrendered five goals in the loss for the Moose Knuckles HC.
The setback halted the Moose Knuckles HC's three-game winning streak.
Chaffer deposited his ninth of the season into an empty net with 0:21 left in the third period to seal the win for the Steamy Weenies HC.
With the victory, the Steamy Weenies HC improve to 6-5-2-0 while the Moose Knuckles HC fall to 9-3-1-0.
