Chaffer nets hat-trick, Steamy Weenies HC defeat Hornets
Calgary, AB – Travis Chaffer scored a hat-trick to lift the Steamy Weenies HC to a 7-4 conquest over the Hornets at Lake Bonavista Community Association on Sunday.
Capping off the scoring for the Steamy Weenies HC was Bryan Pierard with two goals, Curtis Parsons and Kyle Zurcher contributing with a goal each. Jim Murphy and Justin Hall each added two assists. Goaltender Adam Kew picked up the win for the Steamy Weenies HC giving up four goals.
Cashing in for the Hornets was Chris Koroluk with two goals and Randal VanderVinne and Wayne Chang each adding single tallies. William Dores added three assists. Goaltender Darren DePeuter surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Hornets.
With the win, the Steamy Weenies HC improve to 7-6-2-1 while the Hornets fall to 3-9-2-2.
